The Huntsman Winter's War

The Huntsman Winter's War is directed by Cedric Nicholas-Troyan and stars Chris Hemsworth, Jessica Chastain, Emily Blunt, Charlize Theron, Nick Frost, Rob Brydon and Sheridan Smith; and is a sequel spinoff to 2012's Snow White and The Huntsman where years after the events of the first film the evil queen returns in the form of a mirror in ordered make a miraculous appearance to rule the kingdom but her sister The Ice Queen (Blunt) isn't to sure of this power. 

This was a fun, good time, it demonstrated an action packed film. Sadly this film wasn't amazing, I mean the first film wasn't exactly award winning but it had lots of accepts about it that is liked, but this film only had a few. Likewise with Hail Ceasar the plot of this film was very scrambled and didn't make sense it felt jumpy and it contradicted itself. I think it's just me but Hemsworth is a big actor and you know when he is in the film, but I feel he was just there and surprisingly didn't do much for me, he sort of played the same character. I do think (although I personally don't like it) that this film would have not of excited with out Disney's Frozen it sort of fell like a live action version.

Needless to say I thought Chastain was wonderful in this and I promise i'm not just saying that because she is very pretty, lol. But she was very good in this film and unlike Hemsworth, played a very different character to her usual roles and it was nice to see her ace another type of character. Brydon and Frost were both a nice addition, and provided us with most of the film's comedy. But for me the best of this film was Emily Blunt. Blunt was simply stunning and this was in my opinion her best performance to date, she was cold and heartless, driven by sorrow and revenge which made her beautiful as 'The Ice Queen'. Her talent shown in this role really made me sit back and think for a minute.

Whilst the Emily Blunt performes well in this film the plot was dumb, there was absolutley no suspense and I was just completley bored.
