Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is directed by Zack Snyder and stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams and Jesse Eisenberg, and is about Superman who is deemed too dangerous after the destruction caused in Man of Steel and Batman feels he needs to step in.
Batman v Superman: Yawn of Justice as I like to call was a poor attempt at something that would have been so great have it a completely different plot with a completely different approach. First of I am disappointed in Snyder as he is a much better director than this, I mean come on,this is the guy who directed Watchmen and 300 two of the greatest films ever made. I just felt that they really didn't properly bother with the film, it felt lazy and fairly clumsy. I thought the plot was shocking, it was confusing and really didn't make sense, it opened up a lot of questions but really didn't answer any of them it just felt like a set up and a film with this idea should not be a set up film. I thought Jesse Eisenberg was annoying and pathetic as Lex Luthor, they made Doomsday into an obstacle they had to overcome and it felt like they just creamed him in their and felt unnecessary. I must warn you the one thing that bugged me the most about this film was that it is called Batman v Superman but they only fought for three flipping minutes! Literally three minutes in the entire film it is appalling. Then there is the good part. One thing I think was effulgent was two of the newest faces to the DC cinematic universe Batman and Wonder Woman. The two of these made the film for me and are the reason I thought the film was only good because they made up for it completely. Batfleck was a dark and nefarious new version for us to have fun with and I thought his alter ego Bruce Wayne was just as interesting and look forward to see him make an apperance in this summer's Suicide Squad. As well as Gal Gadot who was flawless and executed the most impressive first appearance ever made, she was sexy and mysterious as Diana Prince and then as Wonder Woman was pernicious and well wonderful. It's just a shame she was barley in the film. These two characters alone where the highest parts of the film, although you did see an awesome new look at the bat cave and Batmobile which was pretty cool as well. But for a long almost 3 hour film it didn't do much for me and I found myself bored, one of the most disappointing films I have seen in a while. I am going to give Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice: 6/10
