Bad Moms is directed by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore and stars Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn and Christine Applegate and is about three over worked, under appreciated Mother's who are pushed to the limit and decide to ditch their responsibilities and become Bad Moms.
I had no exceptions for this films as it was the only thing showing when I visited Everyman Dine In Sofa Cinema in Leeds earlier this week. However like many film this year I wasn't pleasantly surprised. Bad Moms is not a clever, groundbreaking comedy it's just damn good fun. The ladies in the film were hilarious, they all played different type of Moms but each character had very funny lines that did make a huge difference as to if the film was funny or not. Kathryn Hanh is by far the baddest and most outrageous Mom of them all. She entered almost every scene with an incredibly raunchy one liner or smutty gesture sending the entire audience mad with laughter. She portrayed her perfectly and was definitely the funniest addition to the film. Although the other Moms are kind of laid back and a little boring and that's the biggest problem with the film, it sells itself as the outrageous and naughty comedy of the century but sadly it really isn't as funny and raunchy as it wants itself to be. It needed a funnier dialog, as the film never really took off and was fairly slow in places. The humour was there in places but needed little touches like one liners to make it that extra bit quick and snappy. But one thing that surprised me about Bad Moms was the fact it was actually able to tell a proper story well, it sent out a good message to all mothers and that is one thing I can really respect the film for-though some of the jokes maybe on the mediocre side of things the film is drenched in positive vibes and I really did have a fun time with this film. Whilst the jokes were either average of over the top never the less the film was very funny and sent out a good message therefore I am going to give Bad Moms: 6.2/10
